Zandia

Zandia was diagnosed with a ventricular septal defect when she was two months old. It is a relatively common congenital malformation that can be fixed using a catheter to insert a patch in the wall between the lower heart chambers. But the family could not afford it. Zandia’s parents kept the baby isolated to avoid respiratory infections, but she still suffered frequent colds. The Heart-to-Heart campaign provided the long-awaited opportunity to repair Zandia’s heart. She is recovering well at home.
