Itzel

Itzel is the only daughter of Hans and Valeria. When she was just seven months old, Itzel was hospitalized at the Children’s Hospital in Santa Cruz with heart problems. Doctors diagnosed her with Ventrical Septal Defect, an opening in the wall separating the lower chambers of the heart.

Valeria shared, “When my daughter was born, they didn’t realize that she had a problem. At her first pediatric check-up, they did some tests and said she had a congenital heart defect. Ever since then, I have been staying with her in the hospital. She has become sick on several occasions. For the past two months, she has been interned in the hospital with a respiratory infection. She overcame this infection and doctors focused on getting her strong enough for surgery. The surgery is very important for her to live a normal life like other children.”

Itzel was fortunate to be able to undergo corrective surgery on November 18, 2019 at the Incor Hospital in Santa Cruz. Valeria said, “God has touched the hearts of the persons who have helped us so that my daughter can have surgery. I am very grateful for the support that you have offered to so many children in need of help.”

Thanks to the Goff Gift Fund for the financial support that made this surgery possible for this young family and their baby girl.
