Fabio

Fabio and his younger sister Fabiana, live with their mother and grandmother in a rented room in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. They receive some support from their father who works as a truck driver and sends money to help with the children's expenses. Sarita shared, "When my son was one year old, I noticed that his chest had grown and that he tired easily when playing. I took him to the local health center and they said everything was normal. Then, at the age of four, he caught a cold and the doctor found a heart murmur. For three years, I have been trying to make this operation possible for my son, but something has always happened to get in the way. Now we are hopeful again. I can only thank you for all the effort you make for our children. Thank you for much."

On September 5, 2019, Fabio received an operation to close a hole in the wall separating the upper chambers of his heart. A Bolivian surgeon and visiting U.S. surgeon worked together to perform the successful surgery. Sarita is so grateful to Dharma Social Projects, the Incor Hospital, and the visiting U.S. surgical team, for making this possible for her little boy.
