Evita
Evita always struggled to nurse, to the point that she would quickly wear herself out and doze off. As a result, she failed to put on weight and was susceptible to respiratory infections, which more than once led her to be hospitalized. During one of her stays at “Los Pocitos” municipal hospital in Santa Cruz, she was referred for a cardiology evaluation, leading to a shocking diagnosis for her parents.
When the social worker spoke with Evita’s father six weeks after her surgery, he was excited to report that Evita is recovering well, and is finally walking!
