Andi
After little Andi was diagnosed with Tetralogy of fallot, an especially complex set of heart malformations, his father abandoned the family, including his 15-year-old daughter and his wife of many years, Laura. They now live with Andi’s 71-year-old grandmother who runs a small shop and cares for Andi while Laura works as an accounting assistant.
Andi’s was one of the most complex cases operated by the Texas Children’s team. He remained at INCOR for two weeks post-op while his heart healed. Andi will need ongoing care, but his doctors report his evolution so far is promising.
