Abel

Abel was diagnosed with a cardiac malformation when he was one year old, but his parents, who speak the dialect of their Mennonite community, struggled to understand the Spanish-speaking doctors. The community is located far from the city and their religious beliefs prohibit cell phones, contributing further to the difficulties accessing care. Abel finally underwent open heart surgery on September 6, after which he spent a week recovering at the hospital. The INCOR doctors confirm that Abel has returned for his follow-up check-ups and is doing very well.
