Felix Checa
Félix Pablo Checa Quispe was a 6 year old who was in the first grade. He was born with
an extremely complex congenital heart problem. His family consists of Felix (Senior)
who is 37 years old and a mason who gets work when he can. His mother is Maria, a 35
year old who is currently pregnant. The rest of the household is made up of his uncle
who lives with the family and is 16 and his older brother who is 8.
Unfortunately, Felix should have been operated long ago, but not knowing about our program prevented them from contacting us. It was known that his case would be a very difficult one. The operation went well, but on the 4th day of being in intensive care, he had a hemorrhage. He had emergency surgery, but did not survive.
